Navigating COVID-19

EXTENDED LEAD TIMES

UPDATED August 26th, 2021: The ripple effect of Covid-19 is causing unpredictable lead times in production and shipping.

Due to global supply chain shortages beyond our control lead times are estimates only and may change from the time of ordering.

We understand the inconvenience this causes our valued customers. Please know we are invested in getting back to our regular lead times as soon as circumstances allow.

As always, we strongly recommend that you do not demo existing spaces, or arrange contractors until the product has arrived and been inspected.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Accessibility Professionals response to COVID-19

First, we hope that you and your families are well and staying safe. We encourage everyone to follow public health recommendations to protect the health of you, your families and your communities. We are following developments and advisories from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as regional Health Units.

We have seen a surge in the need for accessible products, as North Americans evaluate their ability to stay in their own homes and to help elderly family members stay out of long-term care homes. Home modifications for accessibility have especially become a priority for many.

Our Sales and Customer Service team at Accessibility Professionals remains operating at full capacity.

Our manufacturing plants and suppliers have implemented and followed guidelines to keep facilities safe and operating, so we can continue to fulfill orders while protecting the health and safety of all workers.

LEAD TIMES

So far, our supply lines are set up to avoid disruptions in production and have been able to maintain their regular lead times. If necessary some suppliers have implemented reduced crews or working hours to heed social distancing recommendations but have been able to maintain production.

Depending on the proceedures and policies of each freight company, transport companies may experience some minor delays. We advise checking updates on tracking your shipments, and as always, allow some time in your construction schedules for unexpected delays.

Orders will always be prioritized in the order that they come in. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this uncertain time.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Within our sales and customer service location in Barrie, Ontario, we have implemented precautionary steps to keep our Accessibility Professionals team safe and healthy.

Travel – We have made accommodations for a large percentage of employees to work from home where possible. We have cancelled all non-essential business travel.

Cleanliness – We are cleaning and sanitizing our facility, paying special attention to high-touch surfaces like door knobs, faucets and light switches. We are reminding staff to be aware of what they are touching and encouraging diligent hygiene and handwashing.

Stay Home – We are asking any member of our team who has travelled outside the country to adhere to government recommendations of 14 days self-isolation. Anyone showing any signs of illness are asked to stay home.

Social Distancing – For employees in the office, we are adhering to the recommended 2 metre/6 foot spacing and when moving through the office, asking staff to wear a mask. Group meetings and training sessions will be conducted via tele-conference.

The GOOD NEWS is that we feel confident that we can continue to provide our excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE. We are available to answer questions, provide quotes and take your orders. We will continue to update customers as best we can with changes to lead times on active orders.

Stay safe and well.
